Wordless Wednesday: A hair raising affair

If you have been following my blog posts (Thank you for following my blog, please on the way by the way also Like my Facebook can?), you should realize we love our son very much and we love to make fun of ourselves just as much. The emphasis is WE LOVE OUR SON, not just love torturing him in strange getups. Don’t all parents do that?

Here are some photos for your Wednesday entertainment pleasure.

Lion King?
Marilyn?

Ok, to be fair to him both of us decided to join him.

Picture this

at grandma'sMy son’s school asked us for a photo of him as well as another of us 3 in a family shot. As I am going through the photos in my computer, I realized I have very few pictures with him and even fewer family shots. You would think he is from a single parent family.

I am envious of my friends who have so many photos of themselves (mostly taken by their husbands) during their pregnancy. Some even have stage by stage belly shots. I wished I had more pictures during my pregnancy because it would’ve been nice to look back and remember that stage of my life. It’s always nice to see husbands so excited by the new arrival and being really involved throughout the whole process with their wives. They whip out their DSLRs to snap 819th shot of their kiddo wiping their snot, wives scratching their bulging bellies and even their babies’ first backpack for playschool. Not trying to compare but can’t help it sometimes. Never mind lah, I’m getting pretty good at taking self portraits with my iPhone in one hand and baby in the other. Time to take family pictures tomorrow.

Say Cheese!

Recently, I have been having this terrible urge to take pictures of everyone and everything. Especially if my son is involved. I’m not a camera whore lah. I’m not even in the pictures 80% of the time. Ok, maybe you may catch a glimpse of my finger or toes in some of the shots because they tend to get in the way. I just have this strong feeling that I will not remember alot of things and events by the time I hit 40 so what better way to document everything than taking pictures of them before I really lose my marbles?

This year has been a year of reunions and catchups. Of course stories (the good, the bad and the super embarrassing) will fly around the room and me not remembering anything. What a shame!

I am armed with my trusty iPhone and Canon Ixus 870 IS everywhere I go. Not professional equipment but I’m happy with what I have. I like to take pictures and LOVE to look at other’s. I’m kaypoh that way so sue me if you must.

If you see me point my camera at you, forgive me & give me your best corny smile ๐Ÿ™‚ CHEESE!!!
