Let’s go shopping with… Lazada.sg (Review and giveaway)

Review Yvie started on solids a couple of weeks ago and I was quite determined not to rely on ready-made baby foods like I did with Xander when he was her age. Sure it is more convenient to heat up that bottle of broccoli purée and it is certainly not poison. I told myself if I can prepare most of her meals from scratch I would because there is nothing like home-made food made with fresh ingredients and with no preservatives. In order to do that, I needed a new blender/grinder but something simple and doesn’t cost an arm or a leg. Thanks to The Wacky Duo’s post on Lazada,…

Let’s go shopping… with Agape Babies (Review and discount code)

Review I don’t know anybody who doesn’t do on-line shopping of any sort these days. Even my mother bought hard to find spare parts for her pressure cooker on-line. Okay, so The Husband made the purchase for her and got it delivered to her place but she knew they were available on-line and demanded we do it for her. I will give her credit just for knowing about it. My mardder so clever hor? I was never a fan of on-line shopping because I was very skeptical about the security measures these web-stores have with my banking information. You don’t know what funny business these hackers can do right? Then I was forced to stay at home during…

    Child Label: Review and Giveaway

Review For parents of school going kids, one of the 1st few things you do before you pack your child’s school bag is to label everything. Back when I was a kid, my dad would use the permanent marker and write my name and class details on everything and everywhere. He left nothing unmarked, even engraved my name on my beloved BMX bicycle and I hated it. Sure the bike really got stolen one day and because my name was engraved on it, the ‘new owner’ couldn’t continue to stake their claim on it, I still hated having my name so visible and everywhere. I didn’t need the whole world…

Let’s go… shopping with JED Pack! (Review)

Review Less than 2 months left before we get to see our baby and I am in major panic mode. I have not finished my “To Handover List of Duties” at the office, our house is in a mess because we cleared out a room for Xander recently and the junk is strewn all over, I have yet to pack my hospital bag and I’ve started experiencing some pretty intense Braxton Hicks. I think I’m the only crazy woman who will always think of Toni Braxton when this happens. I digress. Sorry. Instead of focusing on the hospital bag, I kept thinking about the baby bag and what to pack…

Shopping is easy with RedMart.com (Part 2 of 2)

(Sponsored Post) Remember my previous post about why shopping with RedMart.com was so awesome? Shopping online is convenient and easy. Shopping for groceries online is a lifesaver for busy working parents like us. Let me explain. My workplace is a little far from my son’s school (about 1 hour of drive time in rush hour traffic) and by the time I pick my son up from school, it would be almost 7 pm or later if I have to stay a little later at the office. The little one will not hesitate to let you know he is completely delirious with hunger (he likes to give me the rolled back…

Shopping is easy with RedMart.com (Part 1 of 2)

(Sponsored Post) I love supermarkets. Big ones, small ones, clean ones, smelly one, I love them all. I would spend hours in supermarkets like how some women would in shoe stores. The trouble with supermarkets though is that I either have to go very early to avoid the scary shoving grandmothers and women with gigantic strollers aka Toe Crushers, or I go in the dead of the night but run the risk of seeing very hungry rats scurrying around in the rice department. “EEE! Rats?! Dun bluff lah!” you might say. I will look at you straight in the eye and say “I sumpah, no bluff you. I have seen…
